Is the-good-attic expensive?

No, the good attic is not expensive. We agree that the product prices appear to be on the higher side as compared to some other options. But we really believe that they are reasonably priced and are not expensive. And you get many benefits of the higher priced products.

Let me explain why the good attic is not expensive.

A product is inexpensive or cheap when:

  1. It is mass manufactured in bulk quantity using the same moulds with automated machines.
  2. It is made from cheap material available in abundance.
  3. It may be of low quality and durability, with focus on reducing the unit cost of making.

the-good-attic products do not follow any of this; they are ‘made’ differently with the sole intention to give exclusive experience to you sustainably, no matter the cost.

Firstly, the-good-attic products are hand-made and not mass-manufactured with machines. Every product is created by rural artisans applying their ancestral knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship. That’s why the products do not follow one standard template; rather, each product is humanly imperfect and unique in its own right.

Moreover, since they are diligently handmade by the skilled artisans, each product takes time to take the final shape and form. So, when you use one, you enjoy the functional and aesthetic value while feeling satisfied that you are directly helping a rural artisan.

Secondly, the-good-attic items are made from carefully selected material. Moreover, the material is purchased in limited quantity (and not in bulk) to make the pieces as exclusive as possible.

For example, some of our shirts are made from 100% hemp, which costs a lot higher than even pure cotton. Hemp is way more durable and stronger than other fibres, meaning your purchases will last longer.

Thirdly, our purpose of building the good attic is to pursue sustainable and eco-friendly living. That’s why, they are made from natural ingredients. Furthermore, we want to craft each product with great attention to detail.

For example, the thread used to stitch the clothing is exactly of the same color as that of the cloth. Also, the clothing is dyed using organic colors, which are far more expensive than synthetic chemical-based colors. So, when the first wash leaves a little trace of the organic color, you get the assurance that it is friendly to your skin and not harmful. A chemically dyed clothing will never shed color during wash.

In short, we aspire to make the-good-attic products extra-special for you to cherish and treasure.
